Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
A developmental condition affecting communication, social interaction and behaviour.
Common signs
- Limited eye contact or response to name by 12 months
- No single words by 16 months or two-word phrases by 24 months
- Repetitive movements (hand-flapping, spinning, lining up toys)
Speech & Language Delay
When a child's speech or understanding develops slower than expected for their age.
Common signs
- Not babbling by 9–12 months
- Fewer than 10 words by 18 months
- Not combining two words by 2.5 years
ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)
Difficulty with attention, impulse control and hyperactivity that affects learning and daily life.
Common signs
- Constantly on the move; unable to sit through meals or class
- Starts tasks but rarely finishes them
- Acts without thinking; interrupts frequently
Stammering (Stuttering)
Repetitions, prolongations or blocks that interrupt the natural flow of speech.
Common signs
- Repeating sounds or syllables (b-b-ball)
- Stretching sounds (ssssun) or getting 'stuck' silently
- Visible tension, blinking or facial movements while speaking
